My friend, Paul, told me that he may open a branch office in Las Vegas this year. He said that he will be speaking to a Las Vegas CPA soon to see if it is viable to move the whole operations to Las Vegas itself. That would mean closing his office in New York City.
As I understand, Las Vegas has very lenient tax structures, even for commercial entities thanks to the income generated by casinos for the State. If Paul works in Las Vegas, it will give me an opportunity to visit the city that never sleeps cheaply because I could put up at his place even though Las Vegas is known as for its many inexpensive hotels but I don’t care. I’ll take free over cheap anytime!
