Shopping List

I am about to go on a trip and as usual, have drawn up a shopping list of items that I have to get for my trip. Although it's not a long trip, I will still take along a lot of stuff, and return with an even heavier bag! 

Oh yes, on my shopping list is classic clarinet reeds, which my neighbor asked me to help get for her son. I don't mind except that I have no knowledge about clarinet reeds. Luckily, she has the box which I could show to the sales person. It helps to make sure that I buy the correct item for her! 

All right, I better get going lest I get caught in traffic!

Losing Faith In Mankind

As someone who runs regular giveaways, it is disheartening that those who have received my freebies or giveaways, keep mum and no revert to me after they have received their item(s). 

I mean, anyone who has some decency would revert when they have received something safely, or even if he or she did not receive it. At least let me know, instead of keeping quiet! 

I tell you, this pisses me off a lot, and I am thinking if I should continue to run giveaways and contests, if this is their attitude.

New Coin Collector

My mother, who is a coin collector, has influenced a friend to start collecting coins. I used to collect coins as well, even though I don't find any satisfaction in this hobby. The only reason I do so is the hope that one day, the value of my coins would appreciate. Haha! As you probably know, I gave up, and passed all my coins to my mom. 

Now, her friend has caught the bug and has asked for help in getting hold of the silver eagle coin. I know how to get it for her as I used to get one set for my mom over the internet. 

Anyway, I have agreed to help her out. Maybe next week, when I have a bit more time to spare.

Labour Day Offers

It's May 1st, Labour Day, tomorrow... a day that I have been waiting for a long time. I know that some outlets are running promotions, and I believe that I am able to get some pretty good deals on that day. 

How much exactly I am saving, I don't know yet because I don't know how much savings I would enjoy, or even how much I am purchasing. That will have to see how generous I feel, how much I want to pamper myself. 

Good thing is that it's a new month tomorrow, which means a new budget. Yeah!

Private Spa

A friend, who recently built his own house, told me that he has a few regrets installing the private spa. It is so under used. Besides, whenever he has the chance to use it, it is always too cold. Now, he is thinking of getting the rheem heat pump, and has promised to make better use of the spa. 

I love the spa, but it is so expensive, sometimes. It would be great if I have my own spa at home, which I could indulge in whenever I am free. Having said so, I travel a lot too, and may not have the luxury of time. I may end up like this friend, who couldn't find time to use his private spa. LOL!

Traveling Again

I just returned from a 4D/3N trip and will be traveling again in 10 days' time. Yes, my schedule is really packed, but I am enjoying myself. 

Before I leave again, though, I have to pick up some items and one of the more urgent ones would be rechargeable eneloop 9v batteries. I must have these before I travel as it could be costly and inconvenient having to buy batteries while on the road. 

I would rather invest in rechargeable batteries, which I could recharge and reuse on my next trip out.

Shopping Holiday

A group of friends visited me in Ipoh, and they wanted to know what souvenirs they should get for their family back home. I told them about the various souvenirs like labu sayong and keris, and also food souvenirs like limau Tambun and pekasam (fermented fish). 

Some friends, though, just wanted to buy whatever that they need, and since they came across them here in Ipoh, they decided to just buy them. I remember a friend bought a carpet and another one bought Reid Supply handles that he needs in his job. 

Sure, these have nothing to with Ipoh specifically, but as I said, they managed to kill two birds with one stone! Holiday and shopping!

A Trip To France

I am so envious of my friend who would be flying off to France, Paris in particular. Although she kept insisting that it's a work trip, I am sure she would have personal time to enjoy the City of Love! I am not sure where she would be staying but I am sure her company, a multi-national company, would not be stingy with accommodation. I am not surprised if she gets to stay at one of those luxury apartments paris!

Actually, my friend did propose that I go along, and we could share out some of the costs, but frankly, a trip to Paris now is out of the question. It's out of my budget! I have an upcoming island vacation, and my savings would be going towards that. Isn't that unfortunate that this opportunity to visit Paris came later, after my vacation has been planned?

My friend told me that he is looking at guitar cases in the shape of coffin case at wwbw. I was quite shocked at first, as I didn't know what he was talking about. 

After checking out the link that he sent to me, I thought that it would be an excellent idea to get one for his guitar. It would definitely make people turn their head twice, and a good conversation piece. I am sure all the girls would be flocking to him like bees to honey. LOL

Special Wedding Dates

I thought that 12.12.12 was the final special date for weddings but bridal couples thought that 14.2.2013 was special as well. Also, another trend that I discovered, besides getting married on such special dates, are cobalt wedding bands. 

All right, I have to admit that I don't know since when they became so popular, but hey, I just realized it! It used to be only gold wedding bands are used but according to the few couples whom I spoke to, they prefer cobalt because these are scratch resistant. 

As for the price, I have no idea what is the difference between the various materials but I guess the price will also depend on the cut. What do you think?
