A friend wanted to know why I spend so much time online. Well, besides working, running my slew of blogs and websites, networking and getting my dose of entertainment from the internet, I also shop online, A LOT. I buy a variety of items online. Even though I can get these items at a neighborhood store from food to medical supplies, sometimes, it makes more sense to shop online.
I like the fact that online stores offer more competitive prices than local brick-and-mortar stores. I guess it is because of the lower overhead cost and stiffer competition. In addition, I get to save more money if I could get hold of a coupon code and sometimes, I could take advantage of a free shipping promotion.
Some people may think that the savings would not be much but I believe that a penny saved is a penny earned!
