Nowadays, companies and even individuals [like me], are so dependant on Information Technology it's scary. I don't know how many people and companies feel that the price of technology is getting higher and higher and it is not easy to keep up. Moreover, technology changes so fast, what is the best now may have been replaced by a newer, savvier model a month later.
A friend told me that this year, his company has decided not to invest into new IT equipment. What the do is buy used cisco equipment as well as other leading brands to cut cost.
Remember, they have to be from leading brands only, OK, because of reliability issue. Otherwise, you will have to face more problems than it is worth, especially if you do not have a team of technical people at your disposal.
