If you know Chinese slightly, you will know that "PinYin" translation means a translation from the Chinese character to a Romanized word based on sound. And if you know Chinese slightly ONLY, then you would most probably have use for this very useful PinYin translator.
I am a "banana", a Chinese person who does not speak Chinese language and I find that it is such a handicap. Can you imagine not being able to read the signboard or menu that are written in Chinese or being speak to in Chinese when others assume that you know Chinese just because of your skin colour?
This is where this PinYin translator is useful. It's web-based so we just have to access the page directly from our Favorites and then copy and paste or type into the box, whatever Chinese text that we wish to translate. I feel that this is a great way to learn Chinese too.
