I was complaining to a friend that it seems to be a trend now for people to add popups to their blogs. I fully understand that these bloggers are looking to earn a little bit of pocket money from their blogs but then I really hate popups and pop unders and having these on blogs really spoilt the user experience for readers. It used to be only porn and spam sites would have pop up windows but not anymore.
Do you know how many websites I visit in a day? Whenever I encounter popups, I will not visit the website or blog again and even if the webmaster or owner removes the popups later I would not care to return.

My friend laughed at my low tech outlook and said that all I need to do is to install a popup blocker program that not only stops popups from popping up but also removes spyware and adware.
Actually, I am not low tech. I'm only cheap because I want free :p
