Recently, a friend of mine needed some money for his mother's medical fees. His mother does not hold an insurance policy; hence he had to fork out the money from his own pocket. Unfortunately, he did not have that much savings so he thought of taking out loans. He checked out the personal loans available and told me that the current rates are not too bad, compared to secured loans.
He told me that if his mother requires long term treatment are care, he may have to take out two mortgages, one on his own house and another on his sister's house.
It is really sad, but it is reality that medical fees are escalating yearly.
