A group of friends visited me in Ipoh, and they wanted to know what souvenirs they should get for their family back home. I told them about the various souvenirs like labu sayong and keris, and also food souvenirs like limau Tambun and pekasam (fermented fish).
Some friends, though, just wanted to buy whatever that they need, and since they came across them here in Ipoh, they decided to just buy them. I remember a friend bought a carpet and another one bought Reid Supply handles that he needs in his job.
Sure, these have nothing to with Ipoh specifically, but as I said, they managed to kill two birds with one stone! Holiday and shopping!
