I read an article the other day about security risk in new credit cards and passports. The new ones now contain two way radio chips called RFID chips. A security company did a survey by stationing people at the airport and tried to pick up personal information from unsuspecting travelers using a special device. The problem is that this device isn't even expensive, which means that practically anyone could get hold of one and start stealing information right from our pockets! This is called electronic pickpocketing.
There are many RFID blocking products in the market now to prevent this from happening. For example, there are special wallets, credit card and passport holders. If your credit card or passport contain RFID chip, you should look into these products. Prevention is better than cure!
