As you know, I am a freebie lover and too prudent for my own good. I don't usually buy something expensive unless it is a real necessity and only after much contemplation. Recently, my mother asked me if I could buy a new LCD TV to replace our existing TV.
I told my mother that since we hardly watch TV, there is no point spending so much money on a TV. I don't watch TV at all and the only people who use the TV at all are my parents and that also only for a couple of hours a day.
My mother told me that the reason they hardly watch TV is because the TV is old and the screening quality is poor making the programs unappealing. Errr when she puts it like that, it really is so difficult for me to give any more excuses of why I do not want to spend a lot of money on an idiot box.
