Image courtesy of FlogdBy itself, the name Flodg does not have any specific meaning that we could identify what it is. So I won't even attempt to explain. Just know that Flogd is a shopping cart or storefront within your blog or social network profile like MySpace. I got to know of this free service about a week or two ago only but have yet to sign up with them to try my hand in selling my items via blogs.
Judging from the Storefront widget that Flogd provides, it's customizable and one could brand it to suit his or her own blog or social profile. However, it looks a little too large for my liking and I believe that by using Flodg on blogs, we will have to dedicate a Page for it and mot embed it in a post unless we are selling many of the same items.
In any case, if you would like to try to further monetize your blog or website in an easy and hassle-free way, you may want to try selling your items via Flogd on your blog. Oh yes, did I already mention that Flogd is free to use? I understand that they do not charge anything. However, when you link your PayPal account to Flogd and when a transaction goes through, you will have to pay service fee to PayPal, depending on the type of account you hold.
