My friend, Yvonne, is planning to purchase an apartment. She says that she needs the space, since she is at the moment renting a room with her husband and son. However, with a new baby coming in February next year, she would need a large home, though she is not keen in a house because of the housework and yard work required.
Yvonne says that even though the economy is not that healthy right now, they have decided to go ahead with the purchase as long as they managed to secure a favorable mortgage.
They have been compiling a list of mortgage lenders and comparing rates. According to Yvonne, there will never be a right time to buy a home, so why not do it when they are still young?
I wish I have guts to commit myself to a mortgage but it scares me to be responsible for a financial burden which could last as long as thirty years!
