What is Drop Everything And Read? Pretty simply put, you are supposed to stop doing whatever you are doing, stop being busy for a little while, and pick up a book and read! Do it as a family, do it alone, do it for yourself, set aside a little time on 12th April, 2008 and READ!
You can do it at home, go to the library or a bookstore that allows one to read their books. Go alone, with your friends or family. Just READ!
This is the first time I have heard of D.E.A.R. and I may just do it this year. I have a book, Penelope, that I have always meant to read since I first got hold of it about two weeks ago. This April, 12th, is a good chance for me to pick up a book.
It will be a great excuse for me to READ and not work. Hehe. Don't you think that is a great idea?
