I was browsing the internet when I came upon an article that says that there are so many people going for Los Angeles Breast Augmentation that parents think that it is the gift to give for their daughters for their birthdays. I think that is rather odd, don't you think so? And that is not all. What about those EXTREME MAKEOVER shows where people go under the knife to win the contest?
Oh yeah, not too long ago, I read that there was a contest where the prize was a celebrity plastic surgery. I don't remember the details anymore but that contest, or rather the prize, kind of get stuck in my mind. Is that scary or what? Come to think of it, we should only get plastic surgery if it really helps up and not to keep up with trend or just because our next door neighbor is a Los Angeles plastic surgeon.
This is the reason why I did not feature the contest, where the prize was a plastic surgery procedure FOR FREE, on my blog. I think it is morally wrong. I don’t mind if the winner is someone who needs it desperately for medical reasons or if it helps psychologically, but then with so many participants in the contest, it’s kind of hard to tell, right?
In any case, I think that contestants would have to undergo psychological evaluation first before letting them participate. We don’t want the unfortunate incident that happened to the Survivor contestant to happen here, do we?
Whatever my opinion, though, and my wish that I will not see another such competition, I hope that people will be sensible to only get a plastic surgery if it is deemed necessary by the plastic surgeon. This is why it is so important to only get consultation from qualified and experienced plastic surgeons.
