Lately, I have read about a Crestor lawsuit and it is shocking that some patients claimed that they suffered from heart attacks and heart failure after taking Crestor.

According to my sister, who is in the beauty industry, customers are trying to reduce their spending on beauty products. I think the economy is still not recovered yet! This year, I am helping a friend look for plus size formal dress, which I find it easier to do than to look for my own dress.

I went over to my neighbor's house to have a look at the renovation work over the weekend. They seemed to have taken forever, with all the banging and drilling; they were quite apologetic!

They told me they were unhappy with their flooring and they are now going to redo the flooring of the entire house with alloc original laminate flooring. First of all, it's eco-friendly, which is a plus point. In addition, comes with lifetime residential warranty.

Since my dad is thinking of renovating the house too, I think I better let him know about Alloc Original. I think it is more practical than marble flooring. What do you think?

My sister, who is afraid of the cold, told me that she will, for a change, try to enjoy winter this year. Her friends are taking her on a skiing trip.

Fearing the cold, she is preparing for the trip very thoroughly! She said her friends will be getting her crescent moon snowshoes, as they are more familiar with the product and know which are the more suitable designs.

On the other hand, my sister said she will be in charged of the food. There will be plenty of preparations to do, for food alone, since there will be almost ten people in the group. My, I am not looking forward to the work, just the holiday!

Sleep Better

My mother has been complaining of not sleeping too well at night. besides waking up to visit the washroom, she finds that often enough, she wakes up wide-eye, and couldn't get back to dreamland until almost morning. This makes her very tired.

I am thinking of getting her a noise machine which I read that will help people sleep because of the noises it emits. There are many types of sound machines in the market. I think I need to do an in-depth research on this first, and if possible, talk to some users, to see how effective they are.

New Nail Colors For Christmas

I hear it often enough from my male friends that I am very unlike their other female friends. I don't shop much, I don't play dress up. Heck, I don't even carry a handbag; only a work bag when I am working, and a backpack when I am traveling.

My friend just purchased a 50in TV. I think he's crazy to spend so much money on a TV but when I visited him home and saw the gigantic samsung led TV, I have to say, I was very impressed!

We watched an old Hong Kong comedy together. Even though we have watched the movie numerous times separately, we still found it very funny, both dialogue and action-wise. Comedies never grow old!

Next weekend, we have another movie date but we have not decided which movie to watch first. Maybe something new this time.

I will be moving house at the end of the month and although I don't plan to take many things along, I still have a lot to take. I will also be buying what I am not taking with me, so that I do have a reasonably furnished place to live and entertain.

Thankfully, I have a friend who has trailer hitches installed on his two trucks, which he said are at my disposal. Woohoo! This means that I will save a lot of money on moving services and transportation.

Actos Court Case

While reading up on diabetes control, I read about a recent lawsuit because of the serious injuries caused by Actos. This is an oral medicine for diabetes which studies have shown to cause injuries to the heart, like heart attack and heart failure.

In addition, Actos has also been found to increase the risk of bladder cancer, hence the Actos lawsuit. The chemical name of Actos is Pioglitazone and it is sold under multiple trade names, besides Actos: ActoplusMet, Competact and Duetact.

It's best that all diabetics consult their doctors to see what medication they are being prescribed with to ensure that they are not taking Actos unknowingly.

My friend told me that my house has such a large front yard; it is a waste that I am not maximizing its use. I know, I had wanted to build an "outbuilding" but haven't gotten around to looking for people to give me a quotation.

According to my friend, I could easily get crown steel buildings to come and build a multi-purpose building. I could choose the size I want, the color and even customize it to fit my home decor. It may be a separate building but the steel building will match the main building of the house.

A long time ago, I was very interested in birthstones. Well, I didn't have much money to spend on gem stones, neither did I have money to set them into jewelries. I did, however, buy costume jewelry with cheap colour stones but I have no idea where they are anymore.

According to my friend, she has just started to buy gold bullion. We have actually wanted to buy together but it looks like she doesn't want to wait for me.... Oh well, I am still in the midst of saving up on my capital.

Anyway, my friend is not as cautious as I am. I have seen how the prices of gold, silver and other precious metals increase over the past couple of years and I am afraid that the price of gold has gotten stagnant. My friend thinks there's still room to go higher, hence she isn't willing to wait for me.

Well, I have to buck up and buy my first gold bullion soon otherwise I’ll miss the boat!

Free Software: Free Studio

I came across this free software when I was looking for software to convert my videos shot with my phone. This Free Studio is an all-in-one software which apparently convert all types of files. Amazing, isn't it? Obviously, at this point, I haven't tried using the software first but I really like that I could do whatever I want with my video format without having to download multiple software.

If you have used Free Studio before, please drop me a comment to share how you like it and it there are any quirks. How is the quality of the converted file? How do you rate this software? It's free but it doesn't mean that it has to compromise on quality, right?

Free e-Cards

The other day, I wanted to send out an e-card to my friend. Unfortunately, I was asked to pay for the eCard! Naturally, I cancelled the card, since I am not going to pay for the ecard since there are so many free ones online.

Well, I found one at Free E-Cards Online, and there are so many features available, like changing the colour of the card and the background. I could also select a short poem to be included in the card, great for those of us who couldn't come up with a short verse ourselves!

Once you have personalized the card, you could also send it to multiple recipients so it saves a lot of time. You can send it to ten people at once, if it's a generic eCard.

I was asking a friend if it's still a good time to buy gold now. You see, an article on WSJ says Buy Gold but gold price has continued to go up for the past few years already and I don't have enough money to buy to make a significant profit.

My friend asked if I have thought about buying gold coins instead. Ah, I remember reading about United States Gold Bureau and how easily we could buy gold and silver coins. Gold coin is certainly cheaper and we could easily find out which are the more popular gold coins, since we are investors looking to make a profit.

My friend told me about this website, and typical, I didn't have time to write about it earlier! Well, this website is full of free icons. You know, the small graphics that we like to use on websites, desktops, etc. While there are pages of free icons up for grabs, the problem is that they are not categorised. So to look for suitable icons for your project, you will have to browse all the pages. Well, it's not too bad but there are 25 pages...

Free Fonts & Dingbats

A long time ago, I used to collect a lot of fonts and dingbats. I don't know why, I just like to install them on my computer, even though I don't use them regularly, or at all. Of course, when it's new, I'll play with them for awhile. Soon, they are left forgotten. Now, even though I no longer download and install new fonts, I still like to look at the new fonts that are released. They are free, so they are very tempting to grab!

If you are like me, check out free fonts and dingbats from Font Garden. Can you believe, there are 1300 dingbats on the site? Obviously, there are more font styles! Just looking at them made me cross-eyed. Just joking...

Krugerrand Coins

My sister told me that she has started a new hobby: collecting coins. Not just any coins, mine you, but gold coins. According to her, she fell in love with gold krugerrands, the gold coin minted in South Africa.

Even though she has just started to buy gold coins, she is buying though a reputable company, United States Gold Bureau, and hence, she wasn't afraid of being cheated.

Lucky her. I just read that there are some Krugerrand gold and silver coins, called rounds, that are not legal tender and virtually worthless! Wouldn’t that be a total loss for her??

Building a website is never easy. I know, I'm a web mistress, have been for the past five years or so, and yet, I don't know how to build websites. I only know how to manage them.

If you have pets at home or live near a jungle, you probably have seen your fair share of creepy crawlies. This is a free spider identification chart that serves as a ready reference guide to spiders that are common in the United States of America. This chart is A4 in size and comes in colour.

Some of the spiders identified in the chart include brown recluse, black widow, hobo spider, wolf spider and black house spider. HHmm I cannot recognise any of the spiders listed by name but I certainly can recognise them from the chart. Eeewww!
